We're back at Project Good As Gold to reveal the gorgeous Primary Bedroom! We had the pleasure of transforming nearly every corner of this modern South Miami family home (you can catch up on the entryway and living room reveals here!) and we were just as excited to refresh the Primary Bedroom. To recap, our clients had recently purchased this newly renovated 1970's home, which boasted high-end finishes but lacked warmth and character. The bedroom was no exception. As with the other spaces in the home, our goal was to create an inviting, cohesive interior which worked harmoniously with all of the modern updates. With great bones and a clean slate to work from, we leaned into a soothing color palette and luxurious layers to create a calming bedroom retreat.

To echo the modern style of the home whilst adding a bit of visual interest we installed some crisp white wood paneling behind the bed. The narrow, vertical details keep the look clean and contemporary but add just the right amount of depth and character. We replaced the matching bedroom set with a beautiful upholstered shelter bed (soft and structured all at once!), paired with oak nightstands featuring elegant leather-wrapped pulls. To finish things off, we installed articulating brass sconces above each nightstand, adding both a gorgeous statement and directional lighting for cozy evening reads.

We kept the bed light and layered- crisp white sheets, a flax linen duvet (with the fluffiest insert!), and a reversible cotton throw for added texture. Two pretty block print cushions bring in just the right amount of pattern and tie back to the blue of the dresser, while a long striped lumbar finishes things off. Simple, soft and so inviting! Side note: As much as we'd love to cover every bed with layers of quilts and blankets and an excess of pretty pillows, we're all about keeping things livable for our clients every day routines!

The dresser is a beauty from afar (hello gorgeous blue-grey paint color!), but it's the details- the brass corner caps and recessed pulls - that really make it shine. When sourcing for clients, we're always on the lookout for those little touches that make a space feel special. A serene ocean photography piece, one of our favorite sculptural lamps and some simple greenery complete this calm, balanced vignette.

In the corner we had space for a narrow, full-length mirror and a woven stool- a simple pairing that adds both function and a touch of texture. We love incorporating little moments like this that make a room feel lived-in and intentional!
